AWS Public Cloud account Error: Event Stream Not Enabled - Using Custom External ID

Issue/Introduction

Getting a red "Error" message on AWS Public Cloud accounts if they are not setup to use the default External_ID value from the Carbon Black Cloud console:

Environment

• Carbon Black Cloud Console: Current Version
• Public Cloud Account: AWS

Cause

The External_ID value is now pre-defined by CB Cloud and not a customizable value like it was pre 2023.

Resolution

Re-configure the AWS Public Cloud Account to use the system generated External_ID value per the User Guide instructions.
