Issue/Introduction

Error start OM Spool:

ESF727  LOG FILE ALLOCATION FAILED, CODE = XX                         
ESF002  INITIALIZATION FAILED, CORRECT ABOVE PROBLEMS AND RESTART ESF 

Environment

OM Spool

Cause

An ESLOG01 DD statement is present in the OM Spool started task JCL.
The ESFLOG sysout is dynamically allocated so there shouldn't be any DD statements for this file.

The DD statement in question is the below:

//ESFLOG01 DD  SYSOUT=X,OUTLIM=0     

Resolution

Remove the ESFLOG01 DD statement and restart OM Spool
