Roll up Actuals from Children in Cost Plans and Budgets is not working

Issue/Introduction

I have created a parent - child relationship on the Hierarchies workspace

• Added the  option to roll up children on the parent  the cost plan.
• Ran the Update Financial Plan Actuals and Forecast job,

The actuals from the child are not rolling up to the parent.

Resolution

Make sure that you have the parent_id field defined on the child.  Creating the relationship on the Hierarchies workspace does not insure the relationship is defined in the database.

Check to make sure that on the parent investment's hierarchy module you see the child.  If it is not there, you need to add the parent_id to the child.  You can do this on the project/investment grid.

Once that relationship is defined, and the option to include child actuals is checked on the parent, run the Update Financial Plan Actuals and Forecast job.

You will then see the child actuals rolled up to the totals on the parent.  The plan will also have this symbol
