Issue/Introduction
This error may occur even if the user has administrator privileges. The software installer fails due to specific file permissions or system settings that prevent the installer processes from completing on Windows 10 and 11.
Cause
This can be caused by User Account Control (UAC), Group Policy settings, or third-party antivirus or security software interfering with the installation process.
Resolution
Open the Control Panel > 'Program and Features' and uninstall the VIP Enterprise Gateway Credential Provider.
Restart the system.
Open an administrator command prompt.
Navigate to the folder where the MSI file is present , then run the MSI from the command prompt.
The installation should succeed now.
Important: Before rebooting, confirm that a NO2FA group has been created and a user added to that group to allow bypassing Windows login and preventing a complete lockout.
