NetMaster Network Management for TCP/IP

Issue/Introduction

We are experiencing missing data on various Watch Tower 1.2 (WT) dashboards even though we are fairly certain NM is configured to publish the relevant data.

Is there a NM or WT installation verification program (IVP) or commands to execute to verify that data is in fact being sent to WT, or being sent and not correctly being received by WT?

Resolution

Yes, you can turn on tracing within Netmaster parameter group ($UT DATAMOVER) to see what attributes are being sent.
Ensure you have PTF LU13329 on as it added the additional trace parameters.

For example - Enabling Summary Trace

DATAMOVER - Common Services Data Mover

Enable Data Mover? .......... YES (Yes or No)
Enable Summary Trace? ....... YES (Yes or No)
Enable Record-Level Trace? .. NO  (Yes or No)
Enable JSON Recording? ...... NO  (Yes or No)
Enable JSON Trace? .......... NO  (Yes or No)

Data Mover Status ........... CONNECTED: 1 RETRYING: 0

If you turn on 'Enable Summary Trace?'  you will see something like the following -

IPDM0198I Summary: IPAPPL resource NMAPPL1 published 4 metrics
IPDM0198I Summary: EE resource EE published 59 metrics
IPDM0198I Summary: NwBizApp resource published metrics for 138 applications
