NetGuardian G6 device discovers items but doesn't show data in reports

Issue/Introduction

Discovered a DPS NetGuardian G6 device in DX NetOps Data Aggregator.

It shows support for the two VC's necessary and items to be polled under that VC. Both VCs show the same items.

Reports for the VCs data shows nothing. No "No Data Available" message. No chart rendered with no data.

Checking the device polling configuration through the dcdebug page we don't see the component items listed for polling.

 

Environment

All Network Observability DX NetOps Performance Management Portal web server releases 24.3.9 and earlier

Cause

A problem in the code is causing conflict between the supported Vendor Certification entries the device can use. Results in failure to schedule the items for polling. As a result data collection never takes place.

Resolution

The issue was submitted to engineering as defect ID DE171067.

A release that we expect a fix to be included in has been set to 24.3.11 by engineering. This is an estimate and is subject to change.
