Compute Manager Missing from NSX Manager node

Issue/Introduction

  • You are noticing the Compute Managers not visible when you login via one of the NSX Managers UI, whereas when logged in on other 2 managers, the Compute Manager details are visible as expected.

    • Below is the screenshot from the problem manager wherein Compute Managers section is blank, though there is a Compute Manager registered with the cluster.



    • Below is the screenshot from the working manager wherein Compute Manager is visible as registered and Up as expected

Environment

VMware NSX
VMware NSX-T Data Center

 

Resolution

Workaround:

SSH to each of the NSX manager node via admin shell and run the below command

start search resync inventory

Note: Please refer to the below KB if you are using Federation before running the above command, since If you run any unintended LM commands on the GM, then indexing of the GM DB may get corrupted or lost. This does not affect the data plane; however, unexpected UI behavior may occur, especially when viewing configuration details on the GM UI.

If incase the issue persists even after running the above command on all 3 manager nodes, open a case with Broadcom Support.
