License was active earlier however its status is Inactive now.

Issue/Introduction

License status is defined by the contributing subscriptions to the license.

One can view license's status on the Licenses grid and also by clicking on the License for the details.

Environment

VCF Operations 9.0

Cause

License can have more than one contributing subscriptions.

Licenses can become Inactive in below scenarios.

1. Entitlement status changed from Active to Inactive in support portal
2. Entitlement end date is in the past in support portal
3. Entitlement SKU is changed to a new product SKU
4. Entitlement is moved from this site ID to another site ID.

Additionally user created licenses which are also called non-default can become Inactive due to reduction in entitlement quantity in the support portal

Resolution

Reactivate the subscription or move the subscription back to the old site ID.

After that, if the licenses don't return, please contact Broadcom support with a reference to this KB article.
