Issue/Introduction

The job inputs feature offer a nice presentation for entering in runtime parameters, but currently do not support passing inline pillar.

Currently, the Job Inputs feature provides a user-friendly interface for entering runtime parameters. However, it lacks the ability to pass these parameters as inline pillar data to Salt states (using state.apply or state.sls).

Cause

This is current product limitation. 

Resolution

Currently, the Job Inputs feature provides a user-friendly interface for entering runtime parameters. However, it lacks the ability to pass these parameters as inline pillar data to Salt states (using state.apply or state.sls).

The way that we support the job inputs at the moment is to modify the job then save it and execute as state.apply or state.sls
