Issue/Introduction

When attempting upgrade of Aria Operation for logs from Aria suite lifecycle the upgrade fails with Error : LCMVRLISYSTEM45034

In the Error stack on the LCM request you see below:

java.io.IOException: Server returned HTTP response code: 500 for URL: https://<vRLI FQDN/IP>/api/v1/sessions
	at java.base/sun.net.www.protocol.http.HttpURLConnection.getInputStream0(Unknown Source)
	at java.base/sun.net.www.protocol.http.HttpURLConnection.getInputStream(Unknown Source)

Aria Operations for logs 8.x

Aria Suite Lifecycle 8.x

Cause

The HTTP status code 500 is a generic error response It means that the LCM server encountered an unexpected condition when communicating with Aria Operations for logs

Resolution

Most likely Aria Operations for logs is not responding on the FQDN/IP in the Error stack above.

Check if Aria Operations for logs Is up and running on that node. If not, perform a quick reboot of that node in vcenter server after taking snapshots.

Make sure you are able to complete a inventory sync in Aria Suite Lifecycle for this Aria Operations for logs instance before attempting an upgrade again.
