Issue/Introduction

• Virtual machines (VMs) from the same organization virtual data center (VDC) are located in the same resource pool but are placed in different folders in vCenter.
• Different folder names are observed for the VCD, such as one with a UUID and another without a UUID.
• Some virtual machines (VMs) from the same organization virtual data center (VDC) are located in a folder with the prefix "StrandedItems_" in its name.

 

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.x 

Resolution

Move the virtual machines (VMs) from the same organization virtual data center (VDC) to a single folder in vCenter.
