Issue/Introduction

Problem:

CA Log Analyzer for DB2 for z/OS (PLA) reporting job abends with SYSTEM COMPLETION CODE=013 REASON CODE=00000034 when using LADXTRCT written to a tape data set as input.  The LADXTRCT data set RECFM appears to be changing from FS to U.

Symptoms:

IEC141I 013-34
SYSTEM COMPLETION CODE=013 REASON CODE=00000034

 

Cause:

Incorrect LOGSRC option specification within the PLA control cards. 

 

Resolution:

The PLA control cards specified LOGSRC = (GROUP) which was not expected if the intent is to use an existing Extract data set as input.  Expected LOGSRC = (EXTRACT) to be specified in the PLA control cards.  The PLA LOGSRC control card was modified to specify EXTRACT which resolved the problem.
