Cloud Director Management Pack 8.18 fails to collect metadata for virtual machines

Issue/Introduction

In Aria Operations 8.18, Due to the changes in new platform optimization, virtual machine resources now belong to the vCenter server adapter. As a result, their properties are no longer cached in the Cloud Director adapter.

This has impacted Cloud Director Management Pack to collect metadata data for virtual machines.

Cause

From Aria Operations 8.17 onwards methods like ResourceConfig#getPropertyData() have been optimized to allow only adapter instance specific properties.

Resolution

This is a known issue and has been resolved in Cloud Director Management Pack version 8.18.2.
