Issue/Introduction

Updating the VCF Operations inventory when the certificates of certain management components are changed directly on the components themselves.

Environment

VCF Operations 9.0

Cause

Updating certificates directly on the management components, namely VCF Operations, VCF Operations for Networks and VCF Operations for Logs is not encouraged.

Certificates must be changed using VCF Operations - Fleet Management - Certificates

 

Resolution

If the certificates are changes outside on the components itself, then go to VCF Operations - Fleet Management - Lifecycle - VCF Management :

1. 1. Select components for which certificates were changes outside. The only components where this can occur is VCF Operations, VCF Operations for Networks and VCF Operations for Logs.
   2. Select "Trigger Inventory Sync", submit the reuqest
   3. Once it's completed , the certificates are updated in VCF Operations inventory
