Global Topology Upgrade from 24.3.8 to 24.3.9 Release

Issue/Introduction

We attempted to upgrade the DX NetOps Global Topology from 24.3.8 to 24.3.9 following a recent upgrade to Performance Management (PM) and Spectrum.But seems it is not supported and we are seeing issues.

Is upgrade supported ?

Uninstalling Global Topology version 24.3.8 - Does this have any impact on DX NetOps Performance Management Inventory/Data ?

Environment

Product: DX NetOps Global Topology

Version (Pre-Upgrade): 24.3.8 with Global Topology (pre-GA)

Target Version: 24.3.9 (Global Topology) (GA)

Deployment: Lab environment

Cause

Upgrades from Global Topology  24.3.8 (pre-GA) to 24.3.9 is currently not supported.

Resolution

• Do not perform an in-place upgrade.
• Uninstall the existing 24.3.8 (pre-GA) Topology Services.
• Install version 24.3.9 (GA release) of Global Topology Services fresh.
• There will be no impact to existing inventory or performance data in DX NetOps Performance Management as a result of uninstalling and reinstalling Global Topology.
