Why we do not see coaching page even there is rule match in Policy?

Why would coaching page not work for destination file extensions set to Deny?

Resolution

Coaching pages in EdgeSWG (ProxySG) only function for web pages—they do not work when based solely on URL extensions.

Why Coaching Pages Require Web Content

• The target must return HTML text-based content for EdgeSWG (ProxySG) to properly recognize and trigger the coaching page.

• Coaching pages cannot be applied to URLs referencing file extensions (e.g., .jpg, .pdf, .exe).

• The system ensures that users are notified only when accessing actual web pages, allowing relevant interaction before proceeding.

For coaching to be effective, the page or target must provide text-based HTML content rather than a URL extension. This ensures that notifications can be triggered effectively.
