After Upgrade to DX UIM 23.4.4 (CU4) cannot login to OC: Returns to login page (Invalid object name 'operation_stage'.)

Issue/Introduction

After the upgrade to DX UIM 23.4.4 (CU4) all users fail to log in / cannot log in to the Operator Console (OC). (Can't log in to OC). 

It does not give any error it just goes back to the login page

 

Error on wasp.log: 

may 22 11:51:41:620 ERROR [http-nio-80-exec-5, org.apache.catalina.core.ContainerBase.[wasp-engine].[localhost].[/operatorconsole_portlet].[rest]] com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: Invalid object name 'operation_stage'.

Environment

• DX UIM 23.4.4 (CU4)
• MS SQL DB

 

Cause

Old version of discovery_server not updated during the upgrade. An old version of discovery_server can cause the tbnVersion module version on NIS_DISCOVERY to be outdated. 

Correct version for 23.4.4 should be: 23.4200

this outdated NIS_DSCOVERY version can cause log in issues as the one above. 

 

Resolution

1. Check the version of the discovery_server. (for DX UIM 23.4.4, discovery_server is 23.4.4)
2. if the version is outdated, upgrade to the latest version
3. restart the wasp
