Can't delete DSN in CA 7 with no using jobs

Article ID: 39852

Updated On:

CA 7 Workload Automation

Cannot delete a DSN from the DB.6 panel.  Get message SM30-13  DSN HAS USERS -- CANNOT DELETE but an LDSN,LIST=USERS on the data set shows no using job entries.

Check the #RQ value on the LDSN output.  If this is non-zero then the data set cannot be deleted from the DB.6 screen. This field shows the number of jobs that had this data set attached manually on the DB.3.1 screen. When a manual update is made to attach the requirement the job cross-reference in the DSN data is not updated (only LOAD added data set requirements build the job into the cross-reference).

Manually delete the data set requirement from the job(s) on the DB.3.1 screen.
