Question:
After installing and configuring the new release of the CA Database Management Solutions for DB2 for z/OS it was determined that a different suffix should be specified for administrative purposes for the Global Parmlib members. Can this edit be done manually through ISPF edit or does the Post-Install INSMAIN Clist need to be used?
Answer:
You can manually invoke ISPF edit to make changes to any of the CA DB2 Tools' Global and Product Parmlib members in lieu of doing it via the Post-Install INSMAIN Clist. It is recommended however, to utilize the INSMAIN Clist for the initial edits to the Global and Product Parmlib members after an upgrade to insure any new parameters introduced in the new release are incorporated into the Parmlib members. Once this is done, subsequent changes can be performed either through ISPF edit or the INSMAIN Clist.
