Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

Cause

Delete/Detach of Recovery won't work if the data from the virtual machine is still present in datastore, the SDDC service interprets that the virtual machine is still operating.

Note: If VM directories and files are still present in datastores after VMs have been removed from PG and RP, they must be manually deleted.

Resolution

• The Recovery SDDC displays VM running in filesystem,
  
   
• Validate Datastore if VM files and folders exists, If Available delete manually,
  
  
• Post Deletion, validate no stale entries exits,
  
• Reinitiate Detach/Delete Recovery it should appear "Deleting SDDC".
  
  
  
  Note: This may take longer time than usual, hence need to wait for the task to complete successfully.
