- Host management communication is lost, and host is not responding to vCenter Server.
Environment
VMware ESXi
VMware vCenter Server
Cause
This is a result of the loss of management connectivity between ESXi and vCenter Server.
Resolution
To resolve this issue, management connectivity must be restored between ESXi and vCenter Server.
This requires adding the uplink back to the Standard Switch.
To add the uplink back to the standard switch, run the following command on ESXi from root CLI:
esxcfg-vswitch -L vmnic# vSwitch#
