This SDDC cannot be detached from the UI. It was attached as a recovery SDDC before detachable mounting was implemented. Contact support.

Issue/Introduction

An administrator receives the error when trying to detach recovery SDDC : "This SDDC cannot be detached from the UI. It was attached as a recovery SDDC before detachable mounting was implemented. Contact support."

Environment

VMware Live Cyber Recovery 7.27.x

Recovery VMC on AWS SDDC deployed or attached before Febuary 2024

Cause

The recovery SDDC deployed before Feb 2024 were deployed with old API which does not have detachable mount capability. Refer the note section in  Detach Recovery SDDC doc 

Resolution

To remediate the issue, contact Broadcom Support with a request to detach recovery SDDC. 

Provide following details 

1) Org ID

2) Recovery SDDC ID that needs to be detached. 

3) Deployment region.
