Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• After upgrade to 9.0 U2 version, SRM versions are different in GUI and VAMI.

VMware Site Recovery Manager

Cause

It is expected, as one interface is showing the number of the BUILD number and the other is showing the software version of the product.

Resolution

•  The discrepancy in SRM version numbers displayed between the GUI and VAMI (Virtual Appliance Management Interface) is expected behavior. The SRM GUI typically displays the software version of the product (e.g., 9.0), which reflects the major release number.
•  Conversely, the SRM VAMI often shows a more granular build number or patch level, providing a more precise identification of the installed software package.
•  In SRM appliance configuration files ssh to SRM appliance and  less /opt/vmware/etc/dr-appliance-manifest.xml: <fullVersion>9.0.0.8295 build 23464738</fullVersion>
