ESXi host transport nodes show 'Failed' for their NSX configuration status in the NSX UI after running "start search resync policy" on the NSX managers.

Environment

NSX 3.x, 4.x

Resolution

If you encounter the issue described in this article:

1.  Collect NSX troubleshooting log bundle from each NSX manager and the impacted transport node: Collect Support Bundles
2. Open a support case with Broadcom support and mention this KB article: Creating and managing Broadcom support cases

Workaround:

Place ESXi host in NSX maintenance mode, vSphere maintenance mode, and reboot ESXi host transport node.
