The Immediate symptom: vCenter NTP status is not passed has been observed on vCenter-XXXX.XX (Self)
NTP Summary|Status "FAILED" != "PASSED"

Environment

Aria Operations 8.18.x

Cause

The VMware Infrastructure Health Adapter adapter unable to provide NTP properties, so the 'NTP Summary|Status' property retained its last collected value, which is a failure.

Resolution

Steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Ensure all adapter instances(Vcenter, VSAN, NSX) are configured to use the same collector as the parent VCF adapter instance.
  2. Goto the Operations> Configurations> Inventory management, find the corresponding VMware Infrastructure Health Adapter instance with the VCF adapter collector name and then stop and start the instance.
