Just to clarify, the zlinux (or Linux or Unix) SCM Client can be installed under any account (userid) on the machine?
For instance you do not need a special harvest user account set up on that box.
Harvest Software Change Manager all versions
zLinux, Linux, and Unix platforms
Though Harvest is normally installed using a separate userid on the zLinux, Linux and Unix platforms, it can be installed to a pre-existing userid as well.
The reason to consider using a dedicated "harvest" user account (userid) for installation is because of the ownership rules for files and processes on the zLinux, Linux and Unix platforms which is more "strict" than it is on the Windows platform. For example, if you were to install Harvest using your personal zLinux user account (userid), then you move to a new job, the next Harvest administrator might not be able to access the Harvest software because they do not "own" it.
