Issue/Introduction

Selecting Administration>Integrations>Tanzu and filling out https://{org}.tmc.tanzu.broadcom.com with help from the tool tip next to the TMC URL, which indicates deprecated URL format of https://{org}.tmc.cloud.vmware.com field and clicking VALIDATE CONNECTION results in the error message "Unable to connect https://console.cloud.vmware.com response: 400" appearing.

Environment

Aria Operations 8.18.x
VMware Aria Operations Management Pack for Kubernetes 2.2

Resolution

  • A resolution is expected in an updated version of the Kubernetes management pack
  • A workaround is available:
    1. SSH to the node that the adapter is configured on and edit the following file.

      cd /usr/lib/vmware-vcops/user/plugins/inbound/TMCAdapter/conf/

      cp tmc_collection.properties tmc_collection.properties.bkup

      vim tmc_collection.properties
    2. Locate the CSP_URL

      CSP_URL=https://console.cloud.vmware.com/csp/gateway/am/api/auth/api-tokens/authorize?refresh_token=

    3. Edit the CSP_URL so it looks like:

      CSP_URL=https://console.tanzu.broadcom.com/csp/gateway/am/api/auth/api-tokens/authorize?refresh_token=

    4. Stop and start the collection on the Tanzu Mission Control adapter in Integrations in the Aria Operations product UI

Additional Information

If the adapter was previously working and stopped collecting please see Aria Operations adapter for Tanzu Mission Control (TMC) stops collecting
