Issue/Introduction

When updating processor groups symbolics I need to include more them 80 characters for Cobol compiler and thru Endevor MF screen using a text processor tool named IBM Personal Communicator 14.1.0 it shows only 80 characters long, on pComm software I get a msg : PROCESSOR GROUP SYMBOLICS   "RIGHT   " is not active. Is there an option on Endevor option table that cover this and enable us to make override into Cobol parms after column 80 up to 132?

Within ISPF Editor, Endevor's Processor Group Symbol Panel, Looks like there are no room to change as requested beyond 66 Characters.

Resolution

Processor Group Symbolics Panel: Variable limit is set to 66 characters to accommodate the Processor Group Symbolics Panel. IBM ISPF Editor has a limit of 70 characters. With this restriction, Endevor's Processor Group Symbolics Panel will not be adjusted to scroll for additional characters.

If your processor requires more than 66 characters in the JCL PARM, it is suggested to create another symbolic and concatenate the symbolics in the compile step.

Example Below

//   COMPCB='<insert up to 66 characters> ',
//   COMPCB2='<insert up to 4 characters> ',

//COMPILE  EXEC PGM=IGYCRCTL,PARM='&COMPCB,&COMPCB2',MAXRC=4,
