Issue/Introduction

The License Management Program (LMP) permits your Broadcom solutions to run uninterrupted, regardless of the CPU on which they are running.

However, enforcement software messages are issued.

In emergency situations like disaster recovery, use the Emergency Key Generator (EKG) to activate your solutions and suppress these messages temporarily.

Environment

Resolution

To request an EKG (Emergency Key Generator) key for disaster recovery testing, contact the Broadcom Customer Care licensing team, specifying the product name and start date of the DR test.

Note: If you are using site keys, an EKG key is not required for DR testing, as site keys can be used at the DR site
