Error while loading Shared libraries libicudata.so.56: in Policy Server smreg command

Issue/Introduction

Upgraded environment Policy Server from 12.8SP6 to 12.9 and getting an error on running the command:

# smreg su <password> 

smreg: error while loading Shared libraries libicudata.so.56: cannot open shared objects file: no such file or directory

Cause

The smreg program file was from Policy Server 12.8SP6 installation and not the smreg file that was shipped with the 12.9 release.

Resolution

Using the correct the smreg binary from Policy Server 12.9 solves the issue.

The program smreg worked as expected.
