vIDM inventory sync is failing with error code LCMVIDM70017

Issue/Introduction

• During a vertical scale-up of vIDM, it is required to perform an inventory sync.
• The inventory sync fails with LCMVIDM70017
  • Unable to login to the vIDM <FQDN of VIDM node> using the provided defaultConfigurationUsername <configadmin> and defaultConfigurationPassword

Environment

VMware Identity Manager 3.3.7

Cause

This is a new environment with only two passwords configured in the Locker of Aria Suite Lifecycle.

Resolution

• Login to Aria Suite Lifecycle and configure passwords for these two accounts.

• Click Retry on failed Inventory Sync request and select the corresponding passwords for the accounts.
