Issue/Introduction

•  Workload cluster deployment fails with error 'K8S120072  Warning  [NodeJoinClusterFailed] node doesn't join the cluster yet' displayed in TCA UI
• Only one of the three control plane nodes and four worker nodes are successfully created and become visible in the vSphere Client but no Node Pool details are displayed in the TCA UI.
• The kubectl describle command on machine object in provisioning state shows error as mentioned below 
  

  message: node has no IP addresses
            reason: Field nodeRef is null, as of now it doesn't get related node info
            severity: Error
            status: "False"
            type: NodeJoinClusterReady

 

 

Environment

TCA 3.2

VSphere 8.x

Cause

NSX network configuration issues are blocking IP address assignment to new VMs.

Resolution

Ensure that the NSX DHCP IP segment configuration is correctly defined and that the address range has sufficient capacity. An exhausted pool can block IP allocation to new nodes.
