VMWare Probe: Resource is not responding

Issue/Introduction

Seeing alarms from vmware probe, "hostname is not responding (reason: Connection and/or inventory update failure)."

 

 

Environment

Release: Any DX UIM 

Component: VMware probe

Resolution

Whenever we create a profile in vmware probe and the profile is active then ResourceCritical alarm is enabled by default for the active profile. This is the functionality of the probe and if resource is not available due to connectivity issues, you will receive the "resource not responding" alarm. From the probe side there is no option to disable this alarm for active profiles.
