Issue/Introduction
- During deployment of CBAM related VNFs, timeouts are observed between nodes in CBAM logs.
- Affected VMs do not have IP addresses assigned in vCenter.
- VM Tools is not running.
Environment
- VMware Cloud Director
- Nokia CBAM
Cause
- CBAM deployed virtual machines fail to boot into their operating system, and are instead booting into a GRUB loader.
- This prevents VMware Tools from starting, which is required for IP address allocation.
Resolution
- Validate the CBAM VMs in vCenter to confirm if they are booting into their OS.
- Engage with Nokia to investigate the OS disk health and boot process.
- Ensure the latest CBAM image is used and verified for compatibility with VCD.
