No down alert received though device is down

Issue/Introduction

Device is Down for few days however Smarts does not generate Down/UnResponsive alert for same.

Environment

Smarts - 10.1.x

Cause

MonitoringTree is corrupted meaning RPS and MonitoringTree data has discrepancy. 

While domain is started post reboot/patching activity, it did not start fine, RPS is fine however data in MonitoringTree is different. 

 

Resolution

Restart the problematic domain which fixes the discrepancy between RPS and MonitoringTree.
