Using Allow Console Login privilege to allow access to the ASDK but not to the SMP Console

Issue/Introduction

You need to be able to create an account that can use the SMP ASDK but is unable to access the SMP Console, so that you can allow users to use the ASDK but prevent them from making changes in the SMP Console.

Is there a way to do this, like having a separate privilege in Security Role Manager for this functionality?

Resolution

Starting with ITMS 8.8 Release, the following enhancement has been introduced:

"The new privilege "Allow Console Login" has been added to allow access to the ASDK but not to the SMP Console. Roles and Accounts with this privilege disabled are not able to login to the SMP Console."
