Remove stale global permissions of previous domain after domain repointing

Issue/Introduction

Permissions with old domain name exist under the Permissions tab in vSphere UI.

Environment

vSphere 7.0 / 8.0 / 9.0

Cause

The stale global permission for the old domain is not deleted.

Resolution

Workaround:

1. Login to vCenter Server UI.
2. Select the respective vCenter for which domain repointing has been completed in Inventory view.
3. Navigate to the permissions tab.
4. Review and delete the entry with previous domain name.

 

Resolution:

This is scheduled to be fixed in a future release.
