The guest utilization consumption disk shows inflated in Aria Operations

Issue/Introduction

• Some virtual machines have external mount points. These external mount points contribute to the Guest File System | utilization under metrics.
• Need to exclude the external mount points and just get the utilization of the system from the disks that are allocated.

Environment

Aria Operations 8.18.x

Resolution

• On the vCenter adapter settings,  which host those target virtual machines, edit the settings.
• Go to Advanced settings, search for the field  "Deactivate collecting Guest File Systems with names containing", which will deactivate collecting guest file systems with names containing a mount partition. 

• Save the adapter instance.
• Review Configuration|Hardware|Disk Space (GB) metrics for VMs for that target object.
