Every user assigned to a custom role has incorrectly been assigned with predefined role "User"

Issue/Introduction

Every user assigned to a custom role has incorreclty been assigned to a predefined role "User" instead of a custom role

In the below example, a ldap group has been assigned to a specific custom role called SDO

however, when checking the profile of a user that belong to that specific LDAP group, we can see that the assigned role is "User" (read-only) instead of customer role SDO.

Why and how can I fix this?

Environment

• DX O2 SaaS
• DX O2 On-premise

Cause

This is UI display issue, by default we display the "User" role instead of the Custom roles.

Enhancement request # DE636168 - Display all custom roles that a user belongs to instead of default "User"

has been created to improve this display issue in the future release, for an update contact Broadcom Support.

 

Resolution

For now, you can safely ignore the assigned "User" role
