Cannot update Custom Resource properties after Orchestrator workflow inputs update

Issue/Introduction

"Update" button is greyed out, and it is not possible to save the Custom Resources after adding new properties to the Aria Orchestrator workflow.

Environment

VMware Aria Automation 8.x

Cause

Changes to the workflow bound to the custom form can cause changes in the schema and that is why the optionto save Custom Resources is grayed out.

Resolution

The workaround is only valid when new properties are added.

 

1. Change/update the field in the Aria Orchestrator workflow - for example, the name.
2. Start the data collection.
3. Go to Custom Resource => Schema Props => Form
4. Check the field where properties were added, remove it, and add it back.
