Cannot relocate a vm with snapshots from vSAN ESA cluster to other DRS enabled cluster via UI

Issue/Introduction

Error description:
When using the vSphere UI to XvMotion a VM with snapshots from vSAN ESA datastore to another host in a DRS enabled cluster, a user may encounter the following error

"A DRS fault has occurred, while retrieving VM placement recommendations: xvmotionPlacement" 

 

Environment

Versions after 8.0GA - This will be fixed in an upcoming release.

Cause

"A DRS fault has occurred, while retrieving VM placement recommendations: xvmotionPlacement"

Resolution

Use the vSphere Vmodl API to replace the UI for the VM XvMotion from vSAN ESA datastore to other datastore.

Specify parameters "host_dest" and "datastore_dest" from the host from other cluster
