Issue/Introduction

  • Cloned the Cluster Capacity Overview view as per documentation Editing, Cloning, and Deleting a View and the Deletion Time column was added automatically to the cloned view.
  • Tried removing the Deletion Time from the view using the show columns option but Deletion Time returns to the view details after a refresh of the UI.  This is expected as it will just hide it from the view which is temporary.  An example of this behavior below:
  • The Deletion Time column is not selected as an option in Data section of the view.

Environment

Aria Operations 8.16.x and later

Cause

The View's Show Objects settings was set to All . Having this settings to All includes deleted objects, so when you select this option the Deletion time is added to the view automatically.

Resolution

  1. Sign into the Product UI
  2. Click on Operations > Views
  3. Click Manage
  4. Search for Cluster Capacity Overview
  5. Select Cluster Capacity Overview > Click on 3 dots beside the view name and click Clone
  6. Expand Settings
  7. Set the Show Objects configuration to Existing instead of All
  8. Continue the configuration as per your requirements.
