Cannot delete a worker node - option is greyed out

Issue/Introduction

When replacing the a worker node using the Lifecycle Manager, there is no option to delete the old node.

 

Environment

VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle 8.x

Cause

VMware Lifecycle Manager (LCM) does not support the removal of Day2 product such as worker or data node. There is no Deletion Flow in place to perform this function.

Resolution

To perform the replacement of the worker node:

• Add a new worker node. Follow steps from reference: Add a Worker Node to a VMware Aria Operations for Logs Cluster
• Once the new node is added and connected, delete the old node via reference:  Remove a Worker Node from a VMware Aria Operations for Logs Cluster
• Perform an Inventory Sync on LCM via reference:  Inventory synchronization in VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle
• Validate product details are updated.
