On ESXi hosts or NSX edge nodes, in the nsx-syslog for the ESXi host or the syslog for the edge nodes, a high number of log message like the following are seen:
info <> NSX 2102192 - [nsx@6876 comp="nsx-esx" subcomp="nsx-sha" username="root" level="INFO"] Delivered alarm event:AlarmMsg: feature:infrastructure_service, status:{9: {UUID('<UUID>'): (False, {'node_display_or_host_name': '<Transport node>', 'core_dump_count': '0'})}}, event_type:application_crashed, event_type_id:None, deleted_entity_list:None to alarm framework successfully.
VMware NSX
The log message are from the SHA (System Health Agent) and they are reporting if a core dump exists or not, as above we can see in this instance the result count is 0: 'core_dump_count': '0'
If the result count is not 0, then there may be an open alarm in the NSX manager indicating a core has been found.
No action required, these are Alarm Framework log entries, used to check for core dumps on transport nodes.
In VMware NSX 4.2.1 onwards, the alarm to check for core dumps, has been removed .
