Revert VMware Cloud Director Availability certificates

Issue/Introduction

After regenerating certificates in VMware Cloud Director Availability appliances the old certificate is backed up and located in:

 /opt/vmware/h4/serviceType/config/keystore.p12.bak, where serviceType is cloud, manager, replicator, or tunnel.

If an issue is encountered during a certificate change you can revert back to the original certificate.

Environment

VMware Cloud Director Availability 4.x

Resolution

To revert to the previous certificate please perform the following steps:

1. Navigate to the directory containing the certificates:
   
   # cd /opt/vmware/h4/serviceType/config/ where serviceType is cloud, manager, replicator, or tunnel


2. Rename the new current certificate file keystore.p12 to keystore.p12.backup

# mv keystore.p12 keystore.p12.backup


3. Rename the original certificate file:
   
   mv keystore.p12.bak keystore.12


4. Restart the services for the change to take affect. You will need to refresh the browser and then verify if the old certificate is back in use.
