Hierarchical Parent update in Hierarchies

Issue/Introduction

Is there a way to synchronize the Hierarchical Parent on the Hierarchy Investments module when the investment parent has changed?

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

1. 1. Create 3 projects: Project 1, Project 2 and Project 3
   2. Set Project 2 as Parent of Project 1
   3. Create a Hierarchy and Import Project 2
   4. Once the project is imported on the Hierarchy view, Right click on Project 2 and select Auto-Import Children
   5. Project 1 is added below project 2
   6. On the Grid view add the hierarchical and Investment Parent fields

   7. Go back to the project grid and update Project 1 parent to project 3
   8. Now the Hierarchy displays as follows:

Expected results: The Hierarchical Parent is also updated as the Investment Parent has changed

Actual Results: The Hierarchical Parent remains unchanged

Cause

The Hierarchical Parent is populated when the investment is auto-imported from its parent and will remain unaltered until the old and new parent investment children have been imported

Resolution

This is working as design.

The Hierarchical Parent is not editable and only updated when importing investment children
