How to View and Download Tanzu Mission Control Inspection Results and Inspection Report

Issue/Introduction

After running a Tanzu Mission Control Cluster Inspection you may use the Tanzu Mission Control Console to view and download the Cluster Inspection results and inspection reports. 

Environment

Clusters attached to Tanzu Mission Control

Resolution

Before starting this procedure, perform the following tasks:

  • Log in to the Tanzu Mission Control console.
  • Make sure you have the appropriate permissions. To view the inspections for a cluster, you must be associated with the cluster.view role in the cluster.

Steps for viewing inspection details for all clusters:  

  • Log in to the Tanzu Mission Control console then click Inspections in the left navigation pane.
  • The Inspections page will list all of the clusters in your organization that you have permission to see and that have been inspected or currently have inspections running, as well as their inspection results.

Step for viewing inspection details for a specific cluster: 

  • Log in to the Tanzu Mission Control console and navigate to the desired cluster, then click the Inspections tab on the cluster detail page.
  • You can sort or filter the list to quickly find your cluster and its inspections.
  • The Inspection field shows the type of inspection that was run, while the Result field shows the status of the inspection (success, failure, or in progress).

Steps for viewing the inspection report: 

  • Navigate to the cluster inspection on the cluster detail page, then click the link in the Result field on the Inspection tab for a specific cluster.
  • The detail page for the inspection shows the type of inspection that was run with a summary of the number of tests that succeeded and failed. The individual tests are listed below the summary.

Steps for Downloading the Inspection Report: 

  • To download a compressed TAR file of the inspection report click the Actions drop down menu located at the top of the inspection detail page, then click Download.

Steps for Deleting the Inspection Report:

  • To delete the inspection report stored by Tanzu Mission Control navigate to the Actions drop down menu located at the top of the inspection detail page, you can delete the inspection report that is stored by Tanzu Mission Control.
