We are currently using NetSpy v12.0 to monitor various applications.
Below is the configuration defined for the CICS region CICSx. It is set to trigger an alert when the average response time exceeds 10 seconds, generating the following log message:
We would like to know if it is possible to configure an additional alert to trigger when the average response time exceeds 5 seconds—before it reaches the 10-second threshold.
The goal is to implement one more warning alert at 5 seconds, in addition to the existing critical alert at 10 seconds.
Yes you can have 2 monitors (with different monitor name) with a different thresholds.
For example - I set up 2 monitors - ALTTHR and ALTTHR1.
ALTTHR with a threshold of 5 and ALTTHR1 with 10.
You can see below that BOTH are getting alerted.
