Issue/Introduction

• VM tasks are slow while more than 1 cell is active in VCD environment.
• VM tasks are fast while only 1 cell is active.
• Cells are not able to communicate over port 61616-
  curl -kv telnet://#.#.#.#:61616
  *   Trying #.#.#.#:61616...
  * connect to #.#.#.# port 61616 failed: No route to host

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.x

Cause

This Issue appears when port 61616 is blocked between the VCD cells which is used for ActiveMQ Artemis Messaging bus for inter-cell communication over JMS.

Resolution

Unblocking port 61616 between the VCD cells would resolve the Issue.
