This article explains the limitations between the use of Dell PowerProtect Data Manager (PPDM) and Site Recovery Manager / VMware Live Recovery

Cause

• One Virtual Machine can be protected by Dell Power Protect Data Manager and VMware Live Site Recovery (array-based replication and vSphere Replication) only in certain conditions.
• The Virtual Machine has to be protected under VMware Live Recovery license and in specific versions of VLR and Dell Power Protect.
